This site is an example of what I mean. I do not have the current coding or IT infrastructure knowledge, but with AI I was able to build something that would have required a team of technical and non-technical people. Mind you, it was far from a few prompts and Bob’s your uncle! It took thinking through the purpose, breaking the work into pieces, guiding the build, checking the output, and correcting it when it went astray. And around we go.

AI made more possible. Experience made it workable.

I find that AI is not something you can fully understand by taking courses. You need to fiddle with it using real use cases. Sometimes the output is a website, a data model redesign, an automation, a presentation or simply a clearer version of something that had only existed in your head.

In practice, anyone who has actually sat down and tried to use AI for serious work will know that the reality is more iterative, more demanding, and more dependent on judgement. This is a working library built around my own learning. Projects I have built or am still building, articles and explanations that grew out of my ignorance of the subject, and curated videos, podcasts, and written resources from people whose work helped me understand something I did not before.

AI is not only about tools and models; it is also about the work, organisations, and society changing around them. I try to keep the library relevant to our context, though a few pieces may wander further afield when they seem too important to leave out. Everything is here because it taught me something. And may, with any luck, do the same for you.
